London District East Teaching School Hub

London District East Teaching School Hub is one of 87 Teaching School Hubs designated by the Department for Education. Each Teaching School Hub has a specific geographical area: our Hub has a responsibility to all 238 schools in Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Newham. 

We will deliver world-class CPD programmes for teachers at every stage of their career. We hope to equip teachers with the evidence-informed training that they need to 'keep getting better' and make a difference for every pupil in our region.

London District East SCITT

London District East SCITT provides a challenging and well-designed programme of school-based practice and educational research to a wide range of trainee teachers. Our inclusive ethos and well-resourced environment offer a highly supportive and personalised approach to learning.

We offer the following programmes:

• School Direct (Tuition Fee) Programme: Course Code Y049

          Key Stage 1/ Key Stage 2 (5-11) and EYFS/ Key Stage 1 (3-7) 

• School Direct (PGCE) Programme: Course Code 2MMD

          EYFS/ Key Stage 1 (3-7) and Key Stage 1/ Key Stage 2 (5-11)

• School Direct Salaried Programme: Course Code K759

          Key Stage 1/ Key Stage 2 (5-11) and EYFS/ Key Stage 1 (3-7) 

• Assessment Only Programme for experienced practitioners who do not yet have QTS.
